In addition to your statutory rights, Licendeals LTD (128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom) gives a warranty on every license we sell, at no cost to you. This page explains how it works. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

In short

• From the moment you reveal a license, you have 24 hours to activate it or, if it doesn’t work, to tell us.
• If a license doesn’t work, tell us within 24 hours of revealing it and we will replace it right away.
• A license activated within those 24 hours is covered by our lifetime warranty. Accounts and subscriptions are covered for the full length of your plan.
• MAK Volume Licenses have 30 days instead of 24 hours. From the moment you reveal the key, you have 30 days to use all its activations or, if it doesn’t work, to tell us.
• With RETAIL Licenses, CID Licenses and MAK Volume Licenses, each activation can be used only once: reinstalling or changing hardware uses up that activation, and our warranty doesn’t cover it.
• Your statutory rights are not affected.

The 24 hours after you reveal a license

Your license stays safely stored until you click Get my license, whether that is the same day or months later, so only reveal it when you are ready to activate it. From the moment you reveal it, you have 24 hours to activate it or, if it doesn’t work, to tell us. The license page shows a countdown with the time left. If you reveal licenses at different times, each reveal has its own 24 hours.

If a license doesn’t work. Tell us within those 24 hours by chat, WhatsApp or at support@licendeals.com, and we will replace it right away. If you can, send us the error message or a screenshot.

If the 24 hours pass. If, within 24 hours of revealing a license, you neither activate it nor tell us that it doesn’t work, our warranty no longer applies, and we do not replace or refund that license, except where the law of your country requires us to.

MAK Volume Licenses have 30 days instead of 24 hours. From the moment you reveal the key, you have 30 days to use all its activations or, if it doesn’t work, to tell us. The license page shows when those 30 days end. If the key doesn’t work, tell us within those 30 days and we will replace it right away. Each activation you use within those 30 days is covered by our lifetime warranty, on the computer where you activated it. If the 30 days pass and you haven’t told us that the key doesn’t work, the activations you haven’t used are no longer covered by our warranty, and we do not replace or refund them, except where the law of your country requires us to. For MAK Volume Licenses, these conditions apply instead of the 24-hour conditions. The rest of our warranty applies in the same way to each activation you use within those 30 days.

How long our warranty lasts

• Licenses activated within those 24 hours are covered by our lifetime warranty. For most licenses, “lifetime” means for as long as you use the license on the device where you activated it.
• For BIND Licenses, which are linked to your Microsoft account, it means for as long as you keep that Microsoft account. You can reinstall them or move them to a new device at any time.
• Accounts and subscriptions (Office 365, Adobe and Autodesk) don’t have a lifetime warranty: they are covered for the full length of your plan.

If it stops working later. If a license you activated within those 24 hours stops working later, for example because it has been deactivated or blocked, tell us whenever it happens and we will replace it. You don’t need to tell us within 24 hours in this case.

What our warranty doesn’t cover

Each activation of a RETAIL License, including 5PC products and RETAIL Licenses that can also be activated with a Confirmation ID, can be used only once: one device for each unit you buy, or up to 5 devices with a 5PC product. If a RETAIL License can’t be activated again because you uninstalled or reinstalled the software or the operating system (including a reset or a format), or changed or replaced hardware such as the hard drive, the processor or the motherboard, for any reason, including a failure or a repair, our warranty doesn’t cover it and we don’t replace or refund it, except where the law of your country requires us to.

If you received the same key for several units, it activates as many devices as the units you bought, and each of those activations can be used only once.

CID Licenses and MAK Volume Licenses have the same limit as RETAIL Licenses. A CID License can be used only once, to activate Office on one PC: after any of the changes described above, that activation can’t be used again. Each activation of a MAK Volume License can be used only once: after any of those changes, activating again uses another of the activations you bought. In both cases, our warranty doesn’t cover that activation and we don’t replace or refund it, except where the law of your country requires us to.

OEM Licenses stay with the first computer you activate them on, so our warranty doesn’t cover moving them to another computer.

These limits don’t apply to BIND Licenses, or to a license that stops working for any other reason, for example because it has been blocked.

Office 365 accounts

You receive a username and a password. Once you change the password, keep it in a safe place: if you forget it, there is no way to access or recover the account.

Your statutory rights

Our warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them. If a license was faulty or not as described when we supplied it, you keep the remedies the law of your country gives you, such as a replacement or, if that isn’t possible, a price reduction or a refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.

If one of our advisors or technical support representatives gives you a longer period, that period applies.
