How to Install and Activate Office 2024 Standard LTSC via CID

IMPORTANT: To ensure a successful installation of the lifetime version of Office, we recommend that you uninstall any previously installed versions of Office on your computer, including Office 365, as they may cause conflicts during installation. Please follow the steps in this guide.

IMPORTANT: For this process, you only need an internet connection. The entire procedure will be carried out through Microsoft's official self-service website.

1. Download Office 2024 Standard LTSC

Office is installed in the same language as your Windows (in English if your language is not available). The installer downloads Office directly from Microsoft's servers, so keep your computer connected to the internet.

2. Installation

2.1 Install the software – Open your Downloads folder and double-click the downloaded file, Office-2024-Standard-LTSC. If Windows asks "Do you want to open this file?", click "Open".

The file opens as a DVD drive. Double-click "Install Office 2024 Standard" to begin the installation process.

If Windows shows the message "The publisher could not be verified", click "Run".

When Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" (Verified publisher: Microsoft Corporation), click "Yes".

2.2 The installation of Office 2024 Standard LTSC will start automatically. Please allow the process to complete uninterrupted. The duration of the installation depends on network bandwidth and system performance; typically, it is completed within 10–15 minutes.

Upon successful installation, a notification window will be presented to confirm that Office 2024 Standard LTSC has been fully installed. Click "Close".

2.3 Once Office 2024 Standard LTSC has been installed, it must be activated. To initiate activation, launch any Office application, such as Word.

For systems running Windows 10, open the Start menu, locate an Office 2024 LTSC application (e.g., Word), and open it to proceed with the activation process.

For systems running Windows 11, open the Start menu and click Word (if you don't see it, go to All apps and locate Word).

Confirm acceptance of the Microsoft Office license terms by clicking "Accept".

2.4 Now enter your license key. If Word doesn't ask for it, go to File > Account and click "Change Product Key".

Input your Office 2024 Standard LTSC license key in the provided field and click "Activate Office".

3. Start the activation

3.1 Close Word and open it again. The Microsoft Office Activation Wizard will appear. Select the option that says "I want to activate the software by telephone" and click "Next". This is how Microsoft names activation with a Confirmation ID: you won't need to call anyone, everything is done online.

3.2 The window will now display your Installation ID. This is a 63-digit code (divided into several blocks) that is essential for the activation process. Keep this window open.

3.3 From your browser, go to the official Microsoft activation website by clicking HERE. Once the page loads, click the "Let's get started" button and complete the security verification.

3.4 Click "Proceed to sign in." You'll be redirected to the Microsoft sign-in page. Enter your email address and password, or use quick sign-in if you're already signed in on that device.

3.5 Once you're there, click the "Activate a Microsoft Product" button.

3.6 From the list of products, select "Microsoft Office".

3.7 The system will ask you for details about your software.

• Select your operating system (in most cases, the first option, Windows).
• Select the product version. In this case, you should choose "Office 2024".

3.8 You will be taken to a new screen where you will see blank fields. Here, you must enter the 63-digit code (Installation ID) that you obtained in step 3.2. After entering it correctly, click "Submit".

IMPORTANT: If the system asks how many devices this product is installed on, enter the number corresponding to your license.

3.9 To copy the 63 digits without mistakes, use the screenshot tool that comes with Windows (Snipping Tool). Take a screenshot of the 63 digits.

3.10 In the Installation ID Extractor, click the box to upload your screenshot with the 63-digit ID, then click "Extract Installation ID" and finally select "Copy full ID".

3.11 Paste the code copied from the Installation ID Extractor in the "Enter Installation ID" field. The website splits it into 9 groups by itself; check that they match the ones in your activation window and click "Submit".

3.12 If the website asks for the number of computers where you have installed this copy of the software, enter it in the corresponding field and click "Submit".

3.13 The website will automatically generate a new code called a Confirmation ID. Copy it or write it down carefully.

3.14 Finally, return to the Office activation window you left open on your computer, enter this Confirmation ID in the corresponding fields (blocks A through H), and click "Next".

All done! You'll see a message confirming that your Office LTSC Standard 2024 has been successfully activated and is now ready to use without restrictions.
