This Privacy Policy explains how Licendeals LTD collects and uses personal information when you visit licendeals.com (the “Site”), buy from us or contact us, and the rights you have over your information.

Who we are

Licendeals LTD (“Licendeals”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of your personal information. We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16822772, with our registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, email support@licendeals.com with “Privacy” in the subject line, or write to us at the address above.

Personal information we collect

• Order and account details: your name, email address, billing address and country, your phone number, company name and tax number if you give them, the products you buy and your order history. If you create an account, your login details (we store passwords only in hashed form).
• Payment details: you enter your card or cryptocurrency payment details on our payment provider’s own secure page or form, not on our Site. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive the payment status, the payment method and the transaction reference.
• License delivery records: the licenses assigned to your order and, each time you reveal a license, the date, time and IP address and the way the link was opened. We store license keys encrypted.
• Choice Rewards: if you have an account, your points balance, your tier, your qualifying spend, the date of your last points activity and a history of your points (points earned, used, returned, removed or expired, with the date and the related order).
• Messages: what you send us through our live chat, WhatsApp, email or contact forms.
• Reviews: the name you choose to show, your rating and your review. Your email address is never published.
• Technical and usage information: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our Site. Some of this is collected with cookies (see “Cookies” below).
• Google Sign-In: if you choose it, your name, email address and Google account identifier (see “Signing In with Google” below).

Please do not send us passwords or full payment card numbers by chat, WhatsApp or email.

How we use it and our legal basis

• To process and deliver your order, run your account, let you reveal your licenses, and provide our warranty, refunds and customer support. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To run Choice Rewards, our loyalty program: to credit, return and remove points, work out your tier, apply your points at checkout, show you your balance and history, and email you about your points (for example when points are credited, when you reach a new tier or before your points expire). Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (our Choice Rewards Terms). To detect and prevent abuse of the program: our legitimate interests. We place you in a tier automatically, based only on how much you spend with us; this does not have legal or similarly significant effects on you. The emails about your points are service messages, not marketing.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting and tax records, complying with sanctions laws and responding to lawful requests from authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• To keep a record of every license reveal as proof of delivery and to resolve disputes; to protect our Site and our customers from fraud, bots and abuse; and to improve our Site and our service. Legal basis: our legitimate interests. You can object to this (see “Your rights” below).
• To measure how our Site is used (Google Analytics) and how our ads perform (Google Ads). Legal basis: your consent where the law requires it, such as in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland; elsewhere, our legitimate interest in measuring and promoting our business. You can give, refuse or withdraw your choice at any time in Cookie settings.
• To send you marketing emails about our products. Legal basis: your consent or, if you are a customer, our legitimate interest in telling you about similar products. Every marketing email includes an easy way to unsubscribe.

We need your order details to sell to you; without them we cannot process your order. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. Our payment providers may automatically decline a payment they consider risky; if this happens, contact us and we will look into it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when needed, with:

• Hostinger, which hosts our Site and database on servers in the United States and sends our emails;
• Cloudflare, which runs the security check (Turnstile) that protects our login, registration, password reset, review and checkout forms from bots. It processes your IP address and information about your browser for this purpose;
• our payment providers, depending on the method you choose: Whop and Bold (cards) and Cryptomus (cryptocurrency). They receive what they need to take your payment, such as your name, email address and the order amount, and they also use it for their own fraud prevention and legal obligations, under their own privacy policies;
• tawk.to, which runs our live chat when you open it, and WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there;
• Google, for Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads (see “Cookies” below), for Google Sign-In if you use it, and to store backup copies of our Site and database on Google Drive;
• our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, and authorities or courts when the law requires it;
• a buyer of our business, if we sell it, who will have to protect your information as described in this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Google receives information about your visits for analytics and advertising only as explained under “Cookies”.

International transfers

Our Site and database are hosted in the United States, and some of our providers process information in other countries. When we transfer your information from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area to a country that does not have an adequacy decision, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for companies certified under it. Where a transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you (for example, to take your payment), we may also rely on that necessity. You can ask us for more information.

How long we keep it

• Orders, invoices and license records, including reveal records: at least six years from the end of the financial year in which you placed your order, as UK tax and accounting rules require, and for longer while our warranty covers your license. Because many of our licenses have a lifetime warranty, we may keep the records needed to honour it for as long as we offer that warranty.
• Your account: until you ask us to close it. Your order records are then kept as described above.
• Choice Rewards: your balance, tier and points history for as long as you have an account. If you close your account, we delete them (your order records are kept as described above). If we end the program, we delete them once the points can no longer be used, unless we need them to resolve a dispute.
• Messages and chat conversations: for as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of what we agreed. You can ask us to delete them, unless we still need them for an open request or a dispute.
• Google Analytics: the detailed data linked to cookies is kept for no more than 14 months.
• Cookie choices: we remember your choice for six months. We keep a record of it (a random identifier, the date, the version of our cookie notice and your choice, without your IP address) for two years, to show that we respect it.
• Backups: our backup copies are overwritten after about four weeks.
• Security: our own bot protection does not store your IP address. Cloudflare processes it only to run the security check.
• Marketing: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you or to another company in a portable format. You can object to our use of it based on legitimate interests, and you can always object to direct marketing. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before.

To use your rights, email support@licendeals.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. It is free. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within one month; if a request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we will tell you why.

US residents: depending on your state, you may have the right to know about, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, which you can do at any time in Cookie settings or by turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. You may use an authorised agent. If we refuse your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

California residents: we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Our Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, but it does respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends it, we keep advertising cookies off. Subject to your cookie choices, Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites through the Google tags on our Site.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, please tell us first at support@licendeals.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113) or, if you live in the European Union, to the data protection authority in your country.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that websites store on your device. We use them, and similar technologies such as your browser’s local storage, as follows:

• Necessary cookies, to run your cart, checkout, account login and language, to remember your cookie choices and to protect our forms from bots (Cloudflare Turnstile). Our floating WhatsApp and chat button also remembers whether it has been shown or clicked, for up to seven days. Our live chat only loads when you open it; tawk.to then sets the cookies it needs to run it. These cookies are always on, because our Site cannot work without them.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics), to understand how visitors find and use our Site so we can improve it.
• Advertising cookies (Google Ads), to measure which of our ads lead to visits and purchases and to show you our ads on other websites. When they are on, Google receives information about your visit.

In the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, we only use analytics and advertising cookies if you allow them. Elsewhere, they are on unless you switch them off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we keep advertising cookies off wherever you are.

You can accept or reject optional cookies on your first visit and change your choice at any time in Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page. We remember your choice for six months and then ask again, or sooner if we change how we use cookies. Google uses the information it receives as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Signing In with Google

You can create an account or sign in to this website using your Google account. If you choose this option, Google asks for your permission and then shares a limited set of information with us: your email address, your first and last name, and the identifier Google assigns to your account. We only store your email address and your name. We never receive your Google password, and we have no access to your Gmail, your contacts, your files, or any other content in your Google account.

We use that information solely to create your customer account, to sign you in, and to associate your orders with your email address. If the email address of your Google account already matches an account on this website, we sign you in to that existing account instead of creating a second one. For security reasons, accounts belonging to our staff cannot sign in this way and must use their email address and password.

Your use of Google Sign-In is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can review or withdraw the access you granted to this website at any time from your Google account permissions. Withdrawing that access prevents future sign-ins with Google; it does not delete your customer account or your order history. To request their deletion, please contact us using the details in the Contact section below.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and, for license keys, encryption in our database. No system is completely secure; if a security breach affects your personal information, we will tell you when the law requires it.

Third-party websites and links

Our Site links to websites and platforms run by others, such as software manufacturers and payment providers. Their own privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for their practices.

Children

Our Site is not intended for children. You must be 18 or over to buy from us, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will publish the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, if the changes are significant, we will also tell you by email or on our Site.
